Im wanting to prevent their embed. They're overdone and they needlessly eat data.

In all seriousness, as several have suggested - gifs will either be removed in EFC forum, or like signatures, there will be a limit per member per thread.

I appreciate a well timed, relevant gif as much as the next person, but too many force it and fail miserably. It's like a jarg myspace in some of the threads with all daft gifs.

Just do a blanket ban on them all and the forum will adapt in time.

out of interest, is there any chance we could get an updating list somewhere of who's currently banned and for how long? it's difficult trying to keep up with all the disappearances.
It's like living in Pinochet's Chile at times except sometimes people do come back..
