As in modern day rock bands ? None, rock music just isn’t that popular anymore. All the biggest tours involve “legacy” bands.
It is, but the expectations for them are impossible because of the legacy bands.

Airbourne came up a few years ago, instantly labelled THE NEXT AC/DC because Ozzies and rock'n'roll, repeat forever for the next good rock band.

Greta van Fleet ("Led Zeppelin Reborn") included, it's why people on here and the older generation in general don't think there's any headline worthy bands - you've grown up with Led Zep, Motorhead, etc etc that every band has to remind you of those somehow for some reason. Just listen to the music without that random expectation ffs

Which rock bands could headline these days?
A dying breed - I would love to see just Joe Walsh with his own band - not with the Eagles as they hold him back imo - he has been invited into the rock hall of fame - Joe has wrote in his time some classics & is a great slide guitarist too voted still 54 th in the world's greatest ever lead guitarists ...
I would love to see Joe play Glastonbury....

Headlining is about commercial appeal though. It's not the old rock n roll fans who are the problem. It's the tik tok generation who only listen to songs that someone has used in a viral video.

Neither of those bands are even remotely popular enough to headline glastonbury though ?

Modern rock doesn't produce superstars anymore, the genre is not mainstream like it once was hence the lack of headlining power amongst current-day rock bands.

I've narrowed it to current bands (i.e. still releasing records).

Would love someone like Saxon or Judas priest to headline.

Edit: Queen too (if they'd just hurry up and bin off Adam Lambert)
Judas Priest still going? I saw them around 76 on the Empire. Remember the lead singer had short blonde hair which was unheard of in those days.

Saw James gang at the Taylor hawkins gig an Joe Walsh looked and sounded rough. Not sure he could still do it for a 2 hour set.
