In Fairness when he was chair bound with the broken leg it helped his voice a bit but not hugely.

Can always rework the key too, although tricky for the musicians.

That Led Zep reunion gig, Robert Plant’s vocals were perfect. It was only when I went to play along at some point I realised they’d dropped the key in everything by a whole tone - 2 semi-tones.

Different for someone like axl rose. Imagine the beegees doing it. Barry Gibb going more Barry White.... It just wouldn't sound right.
