Another decent day yesterday if you switched about. Manics the stand out for me but may revise that when I catch up on Maneskin. Only saw the last 30 seconds or so but I just love female bass players for some reason. The one in Warpaint was fantastic. Also like to watch the full sets of Christine and Lana and Rick singing The Smiths.

Not seen a single note of The Last Dinner Party which is a shame.

Dave Grohl appeared on stage with GnR?

Kurt would be turning in his urn.
For this, not for the previous 10 times?

They grew up and moved past it (or were moving past it) even before Kurt's death - Duff was one of the last people in the industry to talk to him and there was no animosity either.

Maybe, and just maybe, they grew up? Slash/Duff and Axl didn't speak for over 10 years or something and were just bitchy about each other all the time, obviously they grew up too.

Maybe the fans should too, it's like the Metallica/Megadeth thing haha

I'd be ashamed to look like that AT and if I did I wouldn't take my shirt off
Capaldi has a lot of ongoing mental issues and will be off the scene for a while to get help. He had the full love and support of the crowd last night which was brilliant to see. He has earned that respect with his hard work and genuinely warm wit and personality.

His appearance really is irrelevant mate.

Saw Dry Cleaning a few months ago and Florence Shaw looked embarrassed to be up there and didn't really know what to do with herself. It was quite endearing.

I think she said she'd be a front person if she didn't have to sing lol

Beth Gibbons is fairly similar I guess, stands on the side and not facing the audience

It is, but the expectations for them are impossible because of the legacy bands.

Airbourne came up a few years ago, instantly labelled THE NEXT AC/DC because Ozzies and rock'n'roll, repeat forever for the next good rock band.

Greta van Fleet ("Led Zeppelin Reborn") included, it's why people on here and the older generation in general don't think there's any headline worthy bands - you've grown up with Led Zep, Motorhead, etc etc that every band has to remind you of those somehow for some reason. Just listen to the music without that random expectation ffs
I’ve seen Airbourne loads of times. They’ll never suit Glastonbury but are great upper card act at Download, Wacken or Rock am Ring.

Sean Dyche has been giving his verdict to the BBC on the G’n’R headline set.

“They’re a great outfit.” said Dyche. “There’s been a lot of noise around their performance but they managed to shut that down and just got on with the job in hand. They’ve obviously put in the hard yards in rehearsals and it clearly paid off last night. As for the Glastonbury fans, they’ve been immense since I got here and I’m pleased Slash and the lads could give them something back.”

This is an unpopular take, but one I agree with. Foo Fighters are elevator music to me, and Grohl should stick to the drums.
I like all their stuff up to Echos Silence Patience and Grace. After that it’s like Grohl’s personal voyage to becoming more Bono than Bono himself.
Foo’s seem incapable of just playing their own songs as they are thesedays. Every song has a solo or mucking around, which makes their show as irritating as f***

Duff has always been sound, he did a lot to help Mark Lanegan, too. His background was in the Northwest punk scene, he was in the Silly Killers IIRC.

Think it was just Kurt and Axl really.

I'll be honest though, I've never had any love for Guns N Roses, always thought they sucked balls.
