Re-added the whole squad in the blind hope that I get the pleasure of deleting some of them as well as adding some much needed additions.

Take McAleny away. Will not appear even as a sub.

Until January we have to play a midfield of McCarthy, Gueye and Barkley. That much is clear.

Mori over Jags.

Don't play Barry in high tempo games.

All the widemen are woefully out of form so it's hard to pick.

Looking to get rid of the following before the end of the next summer transfer window.

Definitely gone: Kone, Browning, McAleny (all out of contract in the summer); Valencia (end of loan). A new contract for Browning possibly?

Sell sell sell: Robles, Gibson, Lennon, Cleverley, Oviedo, Niasse, Garbutt, Rodriguez, McGeady.

Depends on the incoming transfers; may keep as squad players or sell to generate more funds to sign new players: Deulofeu, Mirallas, McCarthy.

Which leave us: Baines, Williams, Jagielka, Barkley, Lukaku, Bolasie, Gana, Barry, Besic, Stekelenburg, Coleman, Tarashaj, Funes Mori, Holgate (plus the players we sign in January).

Plus youth: Davies, Dowell, Calvert-Lewin, Galloway, Pennington.

Won't sell the like in Jagielka and Barry because we need back-up and they generate tiny transfer fees because of their age.

P.S if McCarthy is happy to stay rather keep him than Barry.

It's worrying isn't it, how many of them would you keep?

Perhaps some fans should be reminded of how much dross we have on our books at the moment and re-evaluate their expectations. The 'project' is going to take time.

As we reach almost the halfway stage of the Transfer window and with some new additions and some thankful departures its time to take another review of the first team squad. I removed certain players who are unlikely to see any gametime after the month is out, if anything changes I will be reviewing it again in a week or so.
