Much better tunes than any of the dross either of those "bands" churned out and at least Nancy could play an instrument+sing and Ann could belt; sexier, by default. Yeah, there were some males in the band but who cares, they're generally known as a female band due to both their strengths.

By that metric my choice would have to be Wet Wet Wet as when away on a work conference the band were staying in our hotel and one of them/their entourage chatted up my colleague and she got both free tickets and backstage passes for us lol

My mate, who`s a Barrister, was out on a chambers works night out, years ago, somewhere in central London and ended up drinking all night with them, in a hotel bar.

She had no idea who they were ( she`s like that ) and said that they were all a great laugh and everyone one of them was a gent lol

Tallies with what I recall - given it was my one and only time backstage I have to admit I was slightly disappointed with the lack of debauchery and excess on display!!!
