We all know the first XI line up currently, and above is what our second XI currently looks like, so we can easily identify here what positions we need to buy in so that certain players will be knocked from the first team into this, the obvious area atm is a defender or three. We need about 25 players, 2 for each position and then 1, defender, 1 mid and 1 striker. Martina Holgate Pennington Baines

So atm, these would be feeney/Gibson, Mccarthy and niasse.
Any players not in that 25 need to be sold and then respective players above when there knocked down the pecking order, which means :
Stekelnberg, besic, mirallas, Bolasie, Sandro ss well as anyone in the u23's that are 22 and over ideally should be shipped out. Haven't included Onyekuru because I doubt if he'll get the work permit to play this season. Dowell only makes the second XI because we need to have the same formation structure.

I'd like to see a pair of strikers (second to push DCL for minutes), but in this market that may not be realistic.
Agree otherwise with the shopping list and with the notion that it's realistic. Nail the striker and RB signings and add some depth, and we should at a minimum finish in the Europa places with CL footy a realistic stretch goal.
