Pickford has his doubters, I think hes alright, prone to a whoopsie, Lossl is unlikely to return which means we could do with at least another Keeper to push Pickford for a place.

I personally think we need a RB, Sidney just seemed to be getting worse, im not totally convinced JJK is the answer and Coleman is most defo not getting any younger.

LB
Do we retain Baines again or do we spend some of our limited funds an a back up to Digne, who hasnt hit the massive heights of last season, but has still shown his class for me.

CB
We need a CB.

CM
Despite the numbers there is not a great deal of quality here and we really need to try and buy somebody of real quality.

Widers
Crying out for a right-winger, Walcott is not the answer. Little Bernie was bright at times and scored a few goals, together with Iwobi they will probably play on the left, questions to be answered regarding both so far.

ST
The 1 area im most happy with, ideally we shift Tosun and Sandro, but 1 is injured and the other is a joke.

This isnt a transfer speculation thread, its a squad improvement thread or rather to discuss which areas we feel need improvement and then during the window or whatever we have this summer, to see how and if the squad evolves over the Summer or Autumn, depending on what happens.

Players out of contract will be added and removed when contracts expire, again, whenever that is. I will include players that I personally consider first-team players, some might not totally fit that title, but they are there, for now.

For now it will just be the squad list, but over the next few days I will do analysis on areas I feel need improvement.

If we sign a quality centre back I'd like to see Holgate tried out at right back.

He's definitely a better option than what we've got defensively, and he can be very quick going forward aswell.

On Control Center the opposing team sent Soldier and Zen onto the platform on high ground overseeing the point, while Pharah and Mercy were directly across on the outskirt of the point. So they were putting down damage from both angles. The D.Va on GOATS can't contest the Soldier and Zen on high ground because they peel is too strong. D.Va also can't really contest the Pharah for very long either. While this is happening they had a Tracer and Winston roaming waiting to dive on a weak target of GOATS. I thought it was a very well coordinated strategy to start that map.

Post of the month...so far
 
Morgan Feeney gone as of 30.06.2020 although he will be training with us until he is fit. Hopefully Stekelenburg, Niasse, Martina and Garbutt to be announced soon. I would give Baines one more year. Pennington, Connolly and Dowell are all in last year of contracts so hopefully someone further down the pyramid will take a punt on them as I imagine they will be available cheap I would put Baningime in with these 3 but he actually has 2 years left. Walcott, Schneiderlin, Bolasie, Sandro and Besic will probably also be available cheap as they are also entering the final years of their contracts although their wages may be a stumbling block. Then there is Sigurdsson and Tosun who both have 2 years left and massive wages and the added complications of being woefully out of form in Sigurdssons case and injured in Tosuns case. I would keep the rest although next summer I would be looking at replacing Keane, Delph, Iwobi, Lossl and Coleman who would be squad fillers this year.

Not sure he would be too happy about that, hes always said CB is his preferred position.

It's accepted for young CBs to play at fullback while theyre learning their trade, but to move Holgate back out there after him having such a good season at CB wouldnt make sense to me
