For me Southampton.
Well in trouble and with being past the half way mark of the season and having accumulated 20 points and the so called 40 points mark of safety being a target, they need to win 7 of their next 16 games, they have only won 4 of the previous 22 ........ They believe they are a Big club ..come on saints.. ha ha ha ...

do you still get a point for draws or have they scrapped that now mush?

You get 1 point for a draw, so 16 draws equals 36 points .....
Good job we are cleverer than yow.
mucker
Oh and eh Mucker they have only drawn 8 previous........

Swansea are for the drop. Two of eleven teams will join them but too early to predict which two.All the teams in the mix are of such similar quality (i.e. dire) and will take points off each other in shocking spectacles of football. I do not think 40 points will be a necessary ‘safety’ target... more like 36 probably.
Regardless, for all the wrong reasons, the last couple of months of this season will be very exciting/nervy for us Evertonians, which I guess is a good thing because after Liverpool tonk us in the Cup, were it not for the relegation battle, the season would just peter out.
I’m confident we’ll perform to expectations in the battle. We have players who bleed blue and who never drop their heads. And in Jags we have a leader who sits at the top table in the pantheon of truly inspiring captains, a man his troops look toward in the blistering heat of battle.
So, as regards how Everton will fare in the relegation dogfight?
Me, I’m very confident that this Everton team will easily succeed in fully meeting my expectations

Would just love these yokels to go down, a small club that thinks it's a bigtime Charlie, they finished above us in successive seasons and thought that laid claim to them being bigger than us.
Since we made them look like Barcelona about 8/9 games ago they've virtually been in freefall, their manager is a dead man walking and they are doomed, good riddance is what I say.

I have taken my assumption on how bad Southampton have been all season and knowing it is still very early things could change.
Yes it is early days, but wouldn,t it be nice that the bleating Southampton plonkers that were saying they were a bigger club than us after winning an FA Cup 41 years ago and a Tin of Paint since, twice in their history recently finishing above us .... the silence is deafening....

Swansea and West Brom look to be the worst. I'd predict those two as certainties.

I think Stoke have started to panic at board level and they'll change Hughes, which could push them away from Southampton.

West Ham will be safe but Bournemouth are always susceptible to conceding so if they don't score they could plummet. Everyone immediately above them should be ok.

So Swansea, West Brom and most likely Southampton or less likely Bournemouth would be my prediction. We ain't great but it'd take a miracle for those to overtake us which makes me think there's some dross in our league.

Swansea will go as they just don't score. I wouldn't mind Southampton going as it'll be tougher to develop players for the RS from the championship. Just curious which is the better club between Portsmouth and Southampton?

I think the best way of finding out is to invite all their fans to an arena and ask them to discuss.

The arrogance and dismissive attitude towards us from them online was something else after they got a 6th placed finish one season and valued it the equivalent of a European Cup win. I've no doubt that some of our fans we're similarly dismissive towards them (like myself now...) but we're Everton and they're Southampton and they'll always be below us in the hierarchy as a club, no matter how many 6th or 7th placed finishes they get.

'Why would Ronald Koeman possibly want to leave "Saints" for a club like Everton" lol.

Whenever i've gone to St Mary's they've always had this misplaced arrogance about them as well. Suppose when our team goes there and capitulates within a minute on more than one occasion, it gives them the ammunition for ridicule.

This, essentially!

I would be happen with it as it is now, swapping Swansea for Southampton

I feel sorry for Swansea because they got bummed by their owners like us, sell their best players and fail to replace them

Please send Southampton down, in many ways their fans are worse than kopites (they actually can be considered fans unlike what show up to Bigstand), with their dreadful full stone island armour ready for “the big away day”. They sing the most cringey songs, and spend the entire game trying to goad the opposition fans, but only if they’re winning. The rest is spent recording themselves on their iPhones to show Instagram how much banter they have because their parents never really loved them.

Please, I want them crushed.
