Going for Gold: Holland vs Spain

I thought Germany were the best team at the World Cup regarding football, but fair play to Spain I guess. When you consider some of the players they have that didn't even play in the final it is easy to see why Arteta has struggled to break through.

Lets be honest guys, if it had been a european or a south american ref, the Dutchies would've been a couple of men down at half time with vitually no chance of winning. Cut the guy some slack FFS..

Yea De Jong's front kick to Alonso's chest was brutal.. Should've been RED

Torres jogs ten yards after spending about an hour warming up and screws his hamstring. He's just knocked at least £5-10m off his transfer value, the guy's never again going to play a full season. Apparently Steve McManaman said on ESPN "He'll be out for two months, that's bad news for his new club". He was celebrating though, I hope he's been given painkilling injections to get out there rather than the pull not being too bad.

Also, hopefully nobody comes sniffing after our Johnny now.

i was more outraged just before the free that wasn't given, the free that was with a 6yd wall a deflection then casillas touched it, and the mint stealin' ill mannered webb gives a goal kick. it was the next phase ofplay that the freekick wasnt given then the greasy waiters went upfield and scored.

only good thing I saw in it all was that they had the time to pay tribute to the espanyol captain.

I didn't think the World Cup was near as bad as some might think. Several thrilling matches and last minute goals. Lots of controversy (not that that is good) and discussion, especially here in the USA which is a good thing.

Forlan voted best player of the tournament. No, it's Iniesta...that know nothing **** Hansen said so.

Agreed. Good moment that.

That's what I'm getting at. You got feckers on here crying feckin blue murder because he tried in vain to keep the players on the pitch. Jesus you can't win with some feckers on here..
