He was the overwhelming favorite going in. Players on that kind of form going into a major usually claim it.

That said, assuming he's still ahead at the end of tomorrow it will be his first time leading a major on Sunday IIRC. We've seen a guy punt a six stroke lead going into Sunday at Augusta to lose by five.
Poor old Shark, combination of choker and unlucky in the majors.

I just have the feeling this will be a very dull final round. No crowd favorites lurking, and only 3 or 4 guys with a realistic chance to win.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Smith plays well, Scheffler bottles it.

He doesn’t look like the type to bottle it. Watching his body language on the back 9 yesterday he still looked calm and professional. Crazy he’s only 25.

Either way Smith and Scheffler fighting it out final day will be great to watch. Both excellent at iron play and putting. Great touch around the greens.

It's still Scheffler's to lose obviously, but I think that bogey at 18 changes the picture a lot. He's one hole away from being under real pressure now, and Smith can now shoot a reasonably obtainable 68 and have him needing to be under par to win.

Tiger only 19 shots back as TV coverage starts. He could still nick this!

edit: make that 20 shots back, great putt to save bogey though

£10 e/w on Smith @ 18s.

Scheffler is a great talent, but this is the masters, and the fact he’s had a wobble yesterday means he needs to have a solid 1-4 here to settle himself.

Think this will be closer than people think.

Yoinking it into the woods (again) is not a good way to start.

Smith's results in the Masters (and so far this year) are both better than I realized.
