That’s the worry. Didn’t Rory have a shot lead when he played the final round with Patrick Reid at the masters when Reid won? Reid was mentally tougher and Rory just dropped down the leaderboard. Rory needs to cope with Bryson’s histrionics whenever he sinks putts etc, because Bryson will be trying to upset Rory all through the round.

This is the first time he's had an outright round 3 major lead since the 14 open in Liverpool

DeChambeau has less finesse to his game, he goes at everything 100%, but he is a better pressure putter than Rory. Rory has to maintain the honour on each hole and drive as well as he did last night. That will put DeChambeau under pressure.

Yes you’re right. I thought that was going to be Rory’s year to do it. I think bryson will go all ‘Ryder cup’ this evening and I hope Rory is prepared for his antics. Funny enough, I think their pairing could allow someone from the chasing pack to shoot a low one, someone like Scheffler or Day. The rest of the field have nothing to lose while Rory and Bryson are concentrating on each other. It’s going to be a great watch and I just hope Rory has prepared mentally and goes out and wins it by 5. He deserves it.

Agreed. I've got a strong feeling Conners will run away with this and leave the soap opera of a final pairing to themselves. Hope not as really want Rory to put this grand slam talk to bed.

The galleries at Augusta are like nowhere else. They won’t get raucous like they did at Pinehurst as they’d be thrown off the course. The majority of the crowd will want Rory to win to crown his legacy in the game and he’s playing a LIV golfer. Like I said if Rory drives it well, DeChambeau’s ego will mean he’ll try to match him or better him, which will result in more errant drives.
