Bit of an anti climax. Feel sorry for Spaun but Mcilroy put the pressure on with both tee shots. Especially in these conditions which look brutal

The look on Spaun's face at the 17th, I just wanted to go over and give him a big hug. Looked so shell shocked.

In a positive slant, a nice little confidence booster for McIlroy going into the big one next month. If McIlroy does what he wants to do and play more like Scheffler, more consistently playing the percentage shots, then watch out as we could easily see a year like Scheffler had last year, maybe better. It is a big if with McIlroy though .

Still a few weeks to go before Augusta but Scheffler isn't yet playing at close to the level he was this time last year.

If that continues through the next month then the Masters is going to a lot more open and you'd have to say the likes of Rahm, Rory, Bryson, and even maybe a Tyrrell Hatton, are going to have a really good chance.

Lights got really bright there at the end for Spaun. He’s been making most of his money at second-level PGA events that happen while the bigger names are at majors or in the FedExCup playoffs.

Really think the reduced schedule will count against the LIV golfers. Scheffler hasn’t hit the heights of last year but is still the man to beat. Hatton has really improved over the last year, but his demeanour on the course lets him down. His record in majors is generally poor, where keeping your emotions in check down the stretch is paramount. Rory has the game suited for Augusta, it’s only the weight of expectation which hinders him every year. If he could do it this year, I think he would easily win another couple of green jackets.
