It's a shame a certain few throw around insults, get personal and offensive rather than just do the mature thing and not engage, if they don't like what's been said.

It doesn't bother me, but I could see why It might be intimidating for others. It would be boring if we all held the same opinions, after all.

aye, it's been a problem for the community for a long time. as you say many folk get intimated and just give up on the forum.

i appreciate the humour and banter, but there's a fine line between that and being just plain nasty...a line too fine for some.

What must their mind be going through to want to write such an attack on a fellow blue? What did I do to warrant such obsessive rage?

The answer is about 7 years ago I made a thread & poll about whether it was ok to call Liverpool supporters "murderers" as the likes of Goat were openly doing so. The poll was clear: blues didn't think this was ok. It was banned to do so, resulting in some forum favourites being banned.

Hence, I became eternal enemy of the clique because their mates weren't gracious enough to the admin to be allowed back on.

Make of that what you will.
