Goodison atmosphere

Non-existent. Full of people whinging. I know were poor at the minute but I'm sure people get some joy out of tearing in to our own players.

This is not making an excuse for Koeman or the players because its been nowhere near good enough. This is a totally separate issue and has been for a good few years now. Too many fans waiting to turn against their own team at the first sign of them struggling. Baffles me to be honest, and the atmosphere is quite embarrassing compared to a lot of other teams. Genuinely, is there a more negative crowd in the league? Its like our fans think we have a god given right to beat lesser opposition.

Its frustrating because on the increasingly rare occasions where Goodison is up for it the team invariably turn up, goodison turns into a bear pit and we get good results.

I know what you mean John although I wouldn't go quite as far as you have.
Last night, for example, when we looked relatively comfortable at 2-1 up, there were still a lot of negative shouts (usually "move it forward"), and too many exasperated tuts if one of our lads makes a minor error.
However, and here's the positive bit, it doesn't take much more than a half decent attack to excite the Gwladys Street. Even last night, it only took a sniff of a chance to have the Street End urging the lads on.
To be fair, Limassol weren't the whipping boys that most people thought they would be.

Tbf, we've sat through a load of crap over the years... If the team gave us something to cheer about, the atmosphere might perk up a bit.

That said, Park End are proper miserable.
