Goodison Park

It'll be fascinating to see who our last ever opponents there will be when the fixture list comes out in mid June (assuming there will be no postponed and rearranged game so late in the season). Could we do a list similar to MOTM for posters to predict? I hope it will be someone worthy and not Norwich or whoever comes up from the Championship. Hopefully a Football League original or an equally historical club.
Reserve it for Everton v Villa - it’s likely one of the most played fixtures in the top league.

Is there a list of grounds that've hosted the most top flight games? Also most internationals? Also grounds that saw Pele and Eusebio?

We are all going to go through this with both of your views equally valid. I’ve been going to GP for 66 years, in all of the stands and boys pen before, under the four massive floodlights, watched the main stand get replaced and the Park End rebuilt. Seen four titles won and even World Cup games, but the ground has come to the end of its life and it would not be the same if it was patched up or even had a major rebuild. BMD is the future and personally I can’t wait to get there, next to the Mersey with a magnificent view of the City. We just need a team now to do it justice…..
If we redeveloped Goodison (shut up Tom) then it wouldn't be the same for many years but eventually it would mean the same to the newer generations that it does to us now, but that will also apply to BMD, in a few years time that will be home and have memories for the newer generations but it will be a ground that will outlast them, and be fit for many years to come and in a much better location

Poor girl sitting in the upper bullens, she was probably told off for standing up by one of the many karens who sit there
To be fair, I sat in that section vs Burnley and the stewards were more like old fashioned cinema ushers/usherettes! Very attentive to all the tourist supporters, showing people to individual seats!

NB. All tourist supporters seemed like true blues as I didn’t see a single one using an iPad!

that adorable. Mine was 14 when she went her first game this season so she's too cool for a reaction like that but she never took a smile off her face all game. We forget how impressive it is, the size, colours sounds etc
When you're young and small and you've not (in my case way back then) seen anything bigger than the pub or church on the corner.
If you walk up to the outside even then you can't take in the scale of it because you're close and can't see it 'all at once'.
You go through a pokey Gwladys St turnstile, into the low roofed 'concourse' as the call it now all you can smell is damp coats, ale, piss, woodbines and steri milk.
Then you go up the 10 of so stairs and the flood lit colours hit you - the brilliant green and the blue and white Lietch crosses.
You never realised a space could be so enclosed yet so big.
You think Wednesday was good.
Imagine the old ground when it truely was 'woodison', with 60+000, Full Bear Pit mode engaged, magnified with the full Reverb of those wooden floors.

Thats all sadly long gone, but it was that loud I can still hear the echo across 60yrs

Now that's how we send off the arl lady, @tommye; you know it makes sense.
I still feel like that kid in the video every time I walk up the stairs and see the pitch. Never lost that magic and always makes my heart miss a beat. I drive past it every day and I still get that buzz walking up to pitch level. So many memories made in over 50 years. Wish I had the same time in front of me to make as many at the new place.

Could have swore there was some significance to a game at Goodison a few years ago that was majorly significant.
Was it the 200th league game? Just looked it up and that was 2015 though. Wow, time flies. Also it was at Villa Park.
EFC v Villa is the most played league fixture in the world, all of them in the top flight too. But then we've only been out of the top flight for 4 years total, and villa are second for seasons played in the top flight, so it makes good sense.

Could have sworn blind there was something about a Blackburn game. Top flight games at a ground, or most played game, or some number thing.
