Off the top of my head, I believe the Sting were defunct in 1997. Their hey-day was 1981-1986 or so. Karl-Heinz Granitza is their all-time leading scorer, but then ditched town on tax evasion.

Split into two groups, those who play FIFA and football manager games and are constantly spouting absolute guff about completed passes, heat zones and expected goals (these live next door to idea balls etc) and old duffers like me who grew up watching football as a sport not a business.
I can tell when a player can't pass a ball, or misses a sitter, and I can tell when someone's put a shift in.
It's just opinion, sometimes right, mostly wrong.
