Haha, seemed doomed from week 1....i assume Vince was told there wasn't enough Muslim representation on their product so gave him a go....but he had no idea of the product, was getting nicknames mixed up, and had no energy to his delivery, it was so weird....

Yep, he defo didnt sound Enthusiastic, and i like many and now the WWE didnt like his com-the previous 3 on the RAW com phillips/Joe and co were good for me
 
so it seems for whatever reason that Tom Phillips is gone from WWE - Massive error that for me, while Former UFC and MMA announcer Jimmy Smith will join the WWE Raw commentary team from Monday 31 May -never heard him myself - while Summerslam is going to be on a saturday instead of the sunday by looks of it

Damn. Phillips was one of their better commentators for sure, especially alongside Graves in NXT.
 
AEW handled the whole Cody Rhodes match and the build so badly. Firstly why even go there with the whole "Murica vs. The world" gimmick? Its a tired, cringe cliche that almost never works. To make matters worse they didn't even do it properly with Ogogo. If you're gonna do the whole "evil foreigner" thing then you've got to let the foreigner get some heat. Why not let Anthony Ogogo win the match on memorial day thus generating massive heat and then have Cody get the win back on a show for July 4th? This did nothing for anyone involved, it was horribly booked from start to finish.

It was a pretty good PPV other then that.

I find AEW to be more infuriating them WWE most weeks. Not because its worse, but because its obvious that under a competent booker who knew what he was doing and reined in some of the more stupid overdone matches and angles it would be amazing. AEW had a chance to do something special and they blew it. Their fanboys keep trying to act like the show is perfect and above criticism but I wouldn't even put AEW on a par with peak TNA.

I wouldn't put AEW on par with TNA at it's worst lol But yeah I agree, if Khan stopped being a stubborn clown and let some actual bookers work their magic, the show could be awesome. The only wrestling show I've somewhat enjoyed (apart from some matches on WWE PPVs) is Impact, but now that Omega is there even that's a struggle.

I am kind of bored of most wrestling right now, AEW I can dip in and out of, WWE I have not watched for ages now (the weekly shows anyway).

It's not even that it's "bad", it's just a bit boring. AEW still has that kind of new feeling at least.

Poppy is back on NXT next week, I will watch that at least, NXT is a nice easy watch anyway.
