GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Punk stole the show as per usual. Great match, even though I knew how it ended before I could get home from work to watch it. Also gotta give props to Rollins. As much as I can't stand his voice, his laughter and the way he dresses, his in-ring work is quite good.

I can barely sit through Cody's or Cena's promos. They never come across as sincere to me. Cody sounds like he's acting a play, where he's trying to be far too dramatic for his own good. At the same time Cena just doesn't sound/look like he means anything he's saying. He's been like this for decades, and it's just bad.

For me, would have made more sense to open the show with a face to face promo between Punk & Rollins (the one that they had done the week before)....then the pull away brawl...then tell the audience that's tonight's main event.....New fans would have totally understood the rivalry and would have had a reason to sit through a 3 hour show to see the match.....
Don't think the rivalry was really explained to new viewers, other than Cole giving a brief summary....and neither guy got to show their character...

Would have made more sense than whatever that Rock thing was....

So the rumours are cena vs Rhodes, punk Vs reigns to main event mania.

I get it, get your four biggest stars outside of the rock against eachother, but they’re all baby faces.

Cena Vs Rhodes makes sense. It’s a classic passing the torch type match, but cena is a believable threat to Rhodes. I think Rhodes has suffered with not having a viable threat to take the title off him

Reigns Vs Punk makes sense with the whole Heyman angle, plus you can further lean into the shield bit where punk didn’t want Reigns as a part of it.

Someone must be turning heel there though.

So far I’ve watched the first three royal rumbles

Some weird stuff

First royal rumble had dino bravo lifting weights for about 30 minutes

Then the second one had Rick rude and the ultimate warrior have a “pose down”

Always delve into some old rumbles at this time of year.

I watched the 2006 one last night. Seemed to be quite a lot of empty seats. I think around then was when the business started to fade away from the mainstream.

All the big names seemed to have gone at that point. As much as I love Rey, it was a mistake giving him such a massive push.

just seen the third one now which had sensational sherri and brother love calling sapphire ugly and fat

fourth one had sensational sherri doing some weird sex show with the ultimate warrior to get him to give the macho king a title shot
