Nah I'm just messing, he annoys me which shows he's good at what he wants to do. It's not a stretch to say that he's the best heel in the company right now, given that someone like KO is a tweener.
 
Watched 'Mania at work yesterday. Think it helps being a 'casual' viewer who doesn't worry too much about 'storylines' (they mostly rubbish anyway), or who should/shouldn't get pushed, so I can just try and enjoy it purely for the wrestling/entertainment aspect. Either way I quit enjoyed most of it. Think people get too wrapped up in who are the 'Heels'/'Faces', or at least are either too smart, or not smart enough about it. New Day are 'Heels' but everyone loves them. Same with KO. Reigns is a 'Face', but gets booed out of the building. In this new era where everyone knows how it works and is a 'smark', the tradditional roles are subverted, or just don't exist in the same way. If Reigns or Cena can be a hero to the kids, and get heat (and they get a lot of heat) from the adults then what's wrong with that?

New Day aren't heels - the fact you thought they were says it all about how confusing, convoluted and tone deaf the booking is.

It's got to at least make narrative sense. Imagine watching Game of Thrones, and then out of nowhere a scene where everyone is in a bunny costume doing the conga happens. Yeah, in a vacuum it'd be funny or whatever, but if that happened every 10 minutes with no rhyme or reason behind it then you'd begin to wonder what the hell you were watching for, when the narrative makes no sense and has no payoff for your time invested into it.

I don't see how you can enjoy it at the moment. You say you don't care much about storylines, so I assume you enjoy the wrestling - in that case, NXT is the far superior option, as there's hardly any good wrestling on Raw anymore. So if the stories on Raw are awful, the wrestling is mediocre and the general direction of the product uninspired, why watch?

Why do you say the New Day aren't heels? They're always using cheap shots/outside interference etc to win, they first debuted with that awful gospel singing vid, they have their own song that says they rock, they often belittle the area they're performing in. They are classic 'heels' to me. Except people love them. Either by luck or design, WWE has some characters that elicit big reactions from the crowd in them, Cena and Reigns. As the old saying goes, any publicity is good publicity...

Edit: add to that guys like Seamus with the 'You look stupid' chants. It's the silences and lack of interaction which are the problem.
 
Just to butt into @Tubey 's and @Philw 's little chat, I don't think there's a true heel/face divide these days. And not does there need to be.

Ever since Austin was supposed to be a heel but was universily loved by the fans by being a heel, there's just no real need to distinguish these days.

The New Day for example, probably technically good guys, but can get away with heel things. And it doesn't matter.

Exactly, except I'd say the other way round, New Day are technically heels. Reigns is technically a face. But nowadays you see 'faces' pulling off old heel tricks all the time and the crowd love it. KO is one of the most popular wrestlers there atm, clearly a heel. A good heel nowadays can be booed or cheered.

New Day have been booked pure babyface for a good month or so now, and were total babyfaces at WrestleMania.
