GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Used to love watching the cruiserweights years ago. Hope it goes well.

Did it ever go away?....didn't the cruiserweights just become 'heavyweights'?.....

Bringing the cruiserweight title back is a waste of time....they still can't book The IC or US title belts correctly, so yet another midcard title belt is pointless...

To be honest mate your probably right. Only time will tell if it works out but I hope it does.

i quite like the new branding of raw and smackdown.

alot more colour and new camera angles and entrances.

i watched a documentary on finn balor lastnight. this lad gotta be the new face of wwe or what??!! i see hes hurt but will come back stronger. liking KO being given run too.

Don't like the brand split myself, don't think they have enough over superstars to fill 2 different shows (particularly Smackdown is weak)....
One positive is of course, it's forcing Vince to create new top stars (Balor, Owens, Ambrose and Styles have already benefited.....although sadly they've showed on Raw the past 2 weeks that HHH is still the top guy there, and bring the wwe champ on smackdown is equivalent of being the old world champion, which was basically the equivalent of being the old IC Champ when it comes to Wrestlemania and Summerslam....

Went to WWE at the O2 last night. It was a Raw thing for no apparent reason. Was alright mate.

First half was a little slow.
Gimmicky type matches like Big Show against both those two Puerto Rican lads. Comedy match type stuff. Was ok for what it was.
New Day beat The Club for the belt. New Day are still extremely popular. I'm a little bored of them if i'm totally honest.
Cesaro made it 3-1 against Sheamus if anyone is arsed by that too.

Second half was much better.
Banks vs Charlotte for the belt
Jericho vs Reigns - Jericho was so so so good. Had an argument with some bird in the crowd. Pure gold. Kids seem to like Reigns. Women seem to fancy him. Blokes seem to hate him. Reigns obviously won with the same moves he always uses.
Rollins vs Zayn vs Owens for the belt. Had real big match feel to it despite everyone knowing the belt wouldn't change hands. Was good but they are 3 excellent wrestlers so expected.

I've missed some matched there. Neville won. We had Sunderland fans sat behind us which was interesting for his match. They were not fans!

All in all a good day despite me having minor squits issues and it being hotter than the actual sun in London yesterday.

WWE miss a trick by not having a title change hands at a house show every few years, like Bob Backlund vs. Diesel. It would add the "you never know" factor and make people more incentivised to go.

If you were starting your own company and you could pick any 9 from wrestlers from WWE plus one additional one from anywhere else in the world, who would your 10 draft picks be?

I'd go with the following

1 - Seth Rollins

2 - Dean Ambrose

3 - Finn Balor

4 - Roman Reigns

5 - Kevin Owens

6 - Sami Zayn

7 - Kazuchida Okada

8 - Charlotte

9 - Sasha Banks

10 - Baron Corbin

I've left out Cena, AJ Styles, Joe and SHINSUKE because they are all starting to get beat up after years of wrestling and I'm not sure how much longer they can keep going for, even though I personally think all of them are awesome

Okada is the best wrestler in the world not attached to WWE who still has years left in the tank and could easily adapt to modern "WWE Style", Charlotte and Sasha would be the cornerstones of the women's division and Corbin would be drafted with the optimistic hope that he was "one for the future"
