Bill Goldberg noted that he suffered a shoulder injury on Raw and that his 11/20 Survivor Series main event with Brock Lesnar is likely his last match.
“I’m sure acting like it,” he said to NBC Sports. “At the end of the day, it’s all that I’m concerned about. I take one day as it is. My body feels horrible. I tweaked my shoulder last night, but that doesn’t mean in five days that I’m not going to come out kicking ass and taking names like I always do.”
Goldberg described the feeling going into the match as terrifying.
“You’re coming back 12 years removed and trying to give people the same thing they loved before. It’s terrifying. Father time is not very receptive to keeping your body in the upmost shape once you reach a certain point in your life. Things don’t heal like they used to. I just thrust myself out there, with a very short period of time to get prepared. I’m never going to be happy. I’m never going to be satisfied. I just wish I would have had a little more time, but it is what it is and you make do with what you got.”
After a strong buildup, Goldberg vs. Lesnar is the most anticipated match the company has presented since WrestleMania, and one that many have questioned why it wasn’t saved for a bigger show like the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania, both being held in larger stadiums, particularly since so much of the WWE revenue model this year is based on giving away the network for this month in particular and trying to get people to pay at WrestleMania.

Yeah no way Goldberg was ever gonna win this, nor should he..... He takes his 'superhero' character so seriously though he'd never agree to any finish that doesn't make him look strong... Think it'll be a clusterf**k myself, but I'll still be watching.... Can see Shane O'Mac interference at some point (follows on from Summerseat, and builds to those two at either Royal Rumble or Mania)...
Does anyone else wish that someone more entertaining had the whole "glorious" gimmick?
