Too many question marks…
How much of Brightons (relative) success is down to him?

Was the bombing of the Chelsea job due to the outside influence of the owners?

Can he get the cretins that play for us actually playing something resembling football quickly enough to save us from the drop?

In his 18 months out of the game, he’s become a better manager than when he was doing the job. A bit like when DCL is out injured and people claim he’s actually a good striker.

Well something has to give, dyche has done wonders but he was sacked by Burnley when in a precarious position and his 12month record is that of a relegation team. Not sure about potter but doesn't seem to be an alternative so I'd to for him, he'd at least show the players how to pass a ball forward not sideways of backwards John h

If this question was asked in the summer I would have no doubt majority would say yes. But with these players and his style of play, we'd be doomed.

No we wouldn't. We need someone to actually coach these players, unlike the current joker.

A bit of coaching and tactical nous and we stay up easily. Then we have a summer to start recruiting players better suited to the new manager's system. OR we could hire another dinosaur and be in the same situation in a couple of years' time. Need to stop being timid and try and progress.

I wouldn't have been adverse to him because he is a good coach and can adapt but his quiet personality doesn't suit us we need someone to get us going especially after Dyche and maybe a bit too posession based for the squad.

Wilfried Nancy at MLS Columbus Crew is a very good manager. He should get a look if the Friedkins don't already have someone else in mind, IMO

The one thing I'd say in favour of Potter, is when he took over Brighton, there were a lot of similarities to us. Houghton had done a solid job for them, but just wasn't utilising the players they were bringing in. A bit like us. Potter was a much better fit and works into a DOF model very well.

It could work out very sensibly, in that Dyche could have provided a defensive stability, and Potter can build a bit beyond that.

I'm convinced he will get more out of DCL/Broja as attackers too. I'm not saying they are brilliant, but we would get more from them.

There's lots of factors against him. He was rubbish at Chelsea, but I'll be honest, I just think we are a million miles from Chelsea. Chelsea have always been a very unique club, doing very different things to what we are attempting to do. That was always an awful move for both parties.

Was watching potters interview on the hi-preformace podcast and was shocked to hear hed only lost 3 games in the league before he was sacked.

Also in his last 5 games he won 3 drew 1 and lost 1. He'd also just knocked out Dortmund in the CL and moved onto the final 8 of the competition.

He alao had terrible injuries to key players and big ted wouldnt stop buying players even though he asked him not too. Said that he spent the first half of the season trying to bed in players and and keep everyone happy. Then when he felt hed just got a grip of the squad the owner went out and spent another £300m on 7 players in the January and potter was expected to figure it out. Potter also asked Chelsea to sell some players and they refused.

In his initial talks with chelsea he was told hed have 16 elite players and the rest of the squad would be players from the academy. When he was sacked he had 31 senior players in his squad. When they had training matches they had to have two simultaneous matches on different pitches. Sounds like a mad house

Ill be honest if we miss out to west ham for a managerial target weve had since November because our new owners couldnt be bothered getting off their big fat septic arses and sacking the clown we had in charge whos won 8 games in over 40 games in charge!

Then i think im pretty much done with TFG already. Should of sacked dyche first day in charge
