Personally I think he has been used by the board to curry favour with the fans, he has to earn coin like most people and probably hasn't seen the vitriol to to board coming. He isn't the problem.

I've not heard what he's said but having taken the coin, he is there to tow the party line otherwise there is no point to his role. I may change my tune depending on what he has said though.
