I agree the Mirror dislikes us and has jumped on this negative story about Everton, but it only came about cos of the GOT twitter page basically taking the mick out of our own stadium. Evertonians telling everyone that's wants to read it that there are some really appalling views and then they get annoyed cos someone else reported that at Goodison there are some really appalling views. Why give them the ammunition?
We can cuss us down but no one else can?
 
The reason obscured views are only £1 cheaper is because otherwise, unless the ground was virtually full, some would buy the then significantly cheaper seat but then use an empty unobstructed one.

It's been decades since you could just select a superior seat to that of your ticket due to low capacity. I remember the £1 discount being in operation decades ago though, so perhaps you are correct.

For at least the last decade, all the non-occupied seats tend to be of the absolutely cack variety, and I think this is still the case even with non-season ticket holders making use of Stubhub. The Stubhub facility should mean that there are more quality seats available for non-season ticket holders, but matchday tickets bought from the club continue to be limited to crap seats in my recent experiences.
