That Baines one vs Newcastle was a humdinger. Barkley vs Swansea was a belter too. Didn't Mirallas smack one in vs Villa under Martinez too?

Really can't recall the last direct free kick goal we scored. Andre Gomes?

Arteta scored one against Blackburn (I think) from an absolutely impossible angle, never got any credit at the time and I’ve never been able to find it anywhere but it wasn’t that far away from the corner flag and he 100% meant to shoot

Sorry about the quality of this recording but the free kick at the end of the clip here is easily my favourite. This was just as Howard Kendall's side was starting to gel. As I recall it was a Friday night and we were in the pub after work (The Rising Sun on Lamb's Conduit Street in London - very few football fans let alone Evertonians amongst the punters). The game was on the telly (an increasing rarity at the time) and I was going round the pub telling everyone to watch as a free kick in that position was as good as a penalty to Sheedy.
