It would be large enough to build a pretty big stadium though - money comes into it though, even if the council did just give away the land, the club would just turn around and say they can't afford to build a stadium on it's own anyway.[/QUOTE]

I have been saying that for ages and that is why Kirkby though not ideal is the only real prospect we have of a new stadium.

AS for LCC and EFC, they could have talked more together, a move after all has been on the cards for some time now. I wonder however if BK was holding out for Kirkby because he is matey with Leahy who may have indicated possibilities to BK for discreet financial backing like building the ground.

This is just a quick image to roughly get an idea exactly how big, even just half, of Walton Hall Park is (placed Goodison Park inside :D );

They drained it years ago (I walked passed one day and way like "[Poor language removed] where's the water gone? :lol: ). Totally out of the blue, unless I just wasnt paying attention :lol:

Wow, I used to go in there now and again with me Da' when we visited me Gran in Rymer Grove and me Uncle Stan in Eton Street.

I like to stay on the sidelines on the city issue. But any benefit to the club with a small outlay of cash has to be studied. This really just seems to good to be true. What am I missing?
