The beauty of football. All types can find a role. The Monster was a legend. Imagine pairing him with the technical genius of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as they often did in 1980-82. That's proper balance.
Klaus Allofs and Klaus Fischer as well. They had some boss players back then.

I said the other day that Germany have had so many great players that they can barely remember them.

Allofs and Fischer were superb. When you had Rummenigge and Breitner, I suppose, you take the merely superb for granted. Hrubesch couldn't get in that side.
 
It's not the profession, gender or nationality that's winding me up, it's the blatant shilling for technology in football.

Think ITV have failed to read the room here completely.

To be fair, if it was prime Bernard Manning doing the analysis while throwing in some blue jokes, I’d enjoy it a lot more. So I think gender, nationality and banter level are important.
