Argentina are a collection of great players but by no means a team. I think they will find it tougher than they imagine in this group. They will still top it, but the race for 2nd will be fascinating.

How does Maradona leave Cambiasso off the list?

They deserve to be bounced out early with stupid decisions like that.

I see one time alleged Moyes target Ever Banega missed out too despite having an excellent season with Valencia while the terminally in decline Maxi Rodrigez and Championship barcode slacker Gutteriez make the 30.

Thanks Diego but you're making this too easy.

Maradona is bat [Poor language removed] crazy, and stable by no means. They very well could fail to advance if Nigeria or South Korea show up strong and surprise. I am partial towards the Nigerian Super Eagles because of the match I saw in the '96 Olympics when they beat Brazil. I know that was 14 years ago, but that squad has passion. Always has. I'd like to see them advance along with S. Korea and leave Argentina behind.

If there is a No.1 seed who I see not making it (besides SA) its Argentina. In the Argentina qualifiers Messi always seemed to be disinterested. The fact that Diego is/maybe jealous of him probably isn't helping. Think Diego would be smart to start Milito but he's not.

Cambiasso not on the squad?? In place of Gutteriez? Are you kidding me? He would be the best player on the squad on over 1/2 of the WC teams.

I do see the African teams doing well this tourney and placing perhaps 3-4 in the round of 16. I'm starting to like Greece to win the group. Greece matches up with Argentina extremely well. They'll sit back and let Argentina pass it around the box and hit back on the counterattack. I also see Macherano getting red carded at least once now that there won't be bats--t blind Howard Webb on the pitch making excuses for all the careers he tried to end this year on the RS.

For the 2nd team I'll take Nigeria. They are due for some luck, its a pity that their FA is such a joke. They should be a top seed every single WC.
