They need someone like him. Their strikers are all quite similar.

Speaking of Vic. I hadn't seen him play up close for a while and was quite suprised by how much bigger he has got at the Portsmouth game. He looks like a powerful unit and has defo bulked up a bit. He was never skinny like though.

The Cambiasso thing continues to boggle.

I think Zanetti being left off is more of a mystery... I mean, here is a leader on the field, can play multiple roles and positions, Captain of a team in the final of the greatest club cup in the world, proven veteran... Baffling...

I dont think they will qualify for the second round (like france in 2002) and i know i will be ****ged for this if messi drags them through the tournament but i think the greatest player there has ever been is the worst coach in the world ever.

Korea just handed Japan their arse on a plate with a 2-0 win in Tokyo.

Park Ji Sung with a 30 yard screamer (who would have guessed that?) and Park Chu Young was brought down and put away the resultant penalty.

The shape of this Korean team looks very balanced. The big test comes next week when they face Spain in a friendly.

Normally I'd agree that Argentina would dominate this group, but Maradonna is such an oddball I think the other teams will be thinking they can nick something off them.

If Nigeria turn them over in the first match it will be interesting to see how they deal with the pressure.

South Korea beat Nigeria in London two Months back 2-0 at QPR's stadium. Anyone can beat anyone in this one.

I'm looking forward to seeing Maradona's team play.

He's taken alot of criticism from the media but behind all the madness he does actually have a style of play he wants Argentina to use. I can fully understand the need for wanting to get the right balance between 'workers' and 'flair players' in advanced positions but I think leaving players like Lucho Gonzalez and Ever Banega out are poor decisions.
