I am not a huge admirer of Sterling, (other than he is a brave player) but I reckon he has done ok in an England shirt. Rather him than Vardy on the left for sure.

....I think he's key to the tournament for England because he's the only natural wide player we have. I'm a fan of Sterling and had a small wager on him to score the first goal tonight.

Yer your right mate, Don't want that in form player starting

You cant play a player in form out of position. Whats the point? Him and Kane were the top scorers last season. Would rather have Kane as a starter, with the option of Vardy on the bench.

Massive massive loss for us tonight (yes i am supporting Russia) with Dzagoev especially missing the tournament with injury, absolutely brilliant in the last 4 qualifiers under the new manager and will be a huge loss, hopefully Neustadter is able to fill in at that def midfield role that Dzagoev has been playing lately, losing the top scorer was a bad loss as well, but defensivley shoudl still be strong enough to frustrate and then hit the Engerland side on the counter, going for 3-1 Mother Russia!

If it were me I'd say let him run against that 33 and 36 year old partnership from the start.

Russia will set out very deep from the start mate, its the way they play under the new and very good coach they have, england will be allowed the ball and they will look at hitting on the counter - exactly what they did to sweden when they tonked them in the crucial qualifier

I think Vardy would have found plenty of space even with neustader sitting in as deep as he will. Seems to always know where to be or at least showed it against the whole of the premier league.
