Watching Slovenia vs Armenia. If Slovenia play the same way in the euros it looks like it’ll be vertical runs to try and get behind and then pick up second balls when they can. Different levels of course but seems a style that Maguire wouldn’t necessarily love to play against.

He has - and I congratulate him for that... but if Dunk gets in the squad ahead of Braithwaite I'll take it all back.

I don't have a massive issue with Dunk

I thought he made a good pairing with Duffy at Brighton

Not an exciting player, but decent enough at the bread and butter aspects of defending

It gives Branthwaite a summer out of the spotlight as well, and keeps him away from that English dressing room full of snakes trying to turn his head

I think he's been dreadful for England. Some players can handle international football, others can't.

Dunk can't.

We're not keeping Branthwaite long term, I've already cauterised that wound in my head - so I don't feel especially protective. Anything that gives him a chance to boost his transfer value is the cold way I'm looking at it.

Not seen any reports of Jarrad missing out, so hopefully a good sign for him

….and as we know to our detriment, Dunk is also a genuine threat in the opposition box. I think he’s Brighton’s equivalent of Tarkowski, he’s terrific for them. The thing is, international football is different and you generally need the types with more quality. Saying that, Southgate might feel he needs the type of character Dunk has around the squad.

For our sake, I hope Dunk goes and Branthwaite is released but it definitely wouldn’t be my choice.
