Why do people want to finish second? Yes the QF draw may look easier but its going to be harder to get a win against Colombia in the next round than it would be against Japan.

To state the obvious, if you can't get past Colombia then you don't deserve to be in the competition. If you get Brazil in the quarter final then likely England go out, get to the semi in the easier side then anything could happen.

Martinez has the best squad in the tourament by a country mile, anything less than a semi appearance and he’s failed massively.

Perfect job for him so he can't drop the players fitness to the floor and they have their usual manager to provide some defensive instincts.
