Well that was turgid viewing.

Ashley Young is utter trash. Just because Mourinho has lost the plot, why is Southgate picking him ahead of a left footed left back? Stop it!

Walker/Tripier.. Pick ONE. Bin this 3-at-back sh1te.

Pack it in with all the tippy tappy bollox! We had pace to burn on that pitch, but they’re all strolling round deep, while like of Henderson & McGuire go beyond them & don’t know what to do then they get there.

We should have taken a big centre forward, because if better teams than Tunisia sit in, we won’t break them down.

Considering the opposition : 3.5/10

i seen nothing there I didn't expect, England win by a set piece. They never looked in any danger of losing that game. They are a very competitive side who will cause other sides problems from set pieces but they lack inspiration. Still think they will get out of group and might get through the first knockout round with the right draw but I cannot see anyone fearing them in the quarter finals.
Should get a few against Panama but can't see them beating Belgium even with that great tactician Martinez in charge.

Henderson is utter garbage, his lack of energy in the centre badly hindered the team's ability to increase the tempo.

Dele Alli started very bright but badly fizzled out, apparently he had a knock so maybe he can have a pass.

Sterling very poor again, I don't think he's ever had a good game at a tournament. He's not doing enough and he should be dropped for Rashford.

Our Jordan had precious little to do, unlucky with the penalty but needs to bollock his defenders to stop passing it back to him, we're shooting the other way!

Overall, a good performance. Brilliant in patches, hard to watch in others, but adding it all up there were quite a few positives there. A win will lift everyone's confidence, a late goal proves they can keep going until the end and Tunisia barely having a real chance shows the defence isn't as shaky as I feared it may be. Bigger challenges to come but time to just enjoy this win now.

England were very good first half but not clinical. England were very poor second half but ground out a win.

Not sure why some their fans are moaning after that. They aren't very good. But they got the job done.

because Tunisia are awful.. And i mean they were as bad a team I can remember

Lingard was in the right place at the right time for the most part. Just doesn't know where the goal is yet. Kane will not get so much space when we play the big guns, and the defence, a bit disorganized and panicky at times, will not fair so well against stronger opposition. We should win this group, but will need to improve a lot before playing the more established sides.

What was with the constant pull back and last bit of skill whenever one of our wide players ran at the defence or into the wide areas?

Whip it in FFS.
