Clattenberg on the usa broadcast says not a pen, and I found myself agreeing with him for the first time in my life.

If iwas referee, I would have made them retake as I saw 3 Portugal players in the box when the kick was taken, and not by a little.

The ref looked like he didn’t want to give it after he came back onto the pitch after checking the monitor, too.

It wasn’t a pen, shouldn’t have been looked at, and shouldn’t have been given.

I just can’t understand how anyone can interpret that as deliberate handball.

I can’t even conceive of that as an argument.

Ah, now you are adding the word “flicking” to your contention in order to support your view. I accept that you would like it to be a penalty because of your view of a perceived injustice but that isn’t what the laws of the game state.

Use whatever word you like I genuinely didn't think about it that much. Calling that a natural position is a stretch for me.

The slide is wrong, theres a player with a head injury on the floor in the background for heavens sake. It also doesn't show a nutmeg with a player running onto the ball to receive it to be bang in front of goal so the comparison is disingenuous.
