Really? How many examples would you like? How about how Liverpool's record breaking run is being received in the media compared to how ours was.
Two years ago the media were all saying how worried they were about the league becoming a cake walk for us every year. They were bleating every week about it. At the same time they were telling us that City will never be considering a great team until they've defended it.
No such caveats placed on Liverpool. It's a full on media love in how wonderful they are and how it great it all is now they're back on top.
Just this week Sky had a poll for best ever Prem team. Guess which team was left out?
City, quite rightly, got all the love the last 2 seasons. To question that and comparing it to how other Clubs are being received in the media smacks of paranoia. How can you compare the press 2 teams get, years apart anyway? Count the words? Record the amount of time the tv talks about them? City, the last 2 years have had so many plaudits It’s untrue. You saying the media we’re worried about the League becoming a cakewalk every year, I’d take that as a compliment and not, as you seem to think, a genuine worry. Perhaps you could link to the reports that mention this as a genuine worry?
Do you want the media to adore you this season? For a team so good, You are currently putting in the worst defence of a title for some years so the media will be a little critical of you. You do seem to be paranoid over the media.
Some of your recent posts would tend to show your paranoia though...
Not when you consider the BBC have been acting as uniteds unofficial PR dept since the GPC was in charge. When Panorama exposed all his dodgy dealings, he started sulking and refused to talk to them ever again. The BBC collectively soiled themselves and have been sucking up to the rags ever since. Very rare you will ever see any utd story on the BBC with a negative slant. When we stuffed them 6-1 at Old Trafford they reported "Utd in 7 goal thriller"
He also got lucky because Spurs are inexplicably one of the media darlings. The amount of good media coverage they get is hugely disproportionate to their actual achievements. Poch's Spurs were also one of the dirtiest teams in the Prem. I'm not talking the odd professional foul to stop a team breaking, I mean the real sly and nasty leg breakers they seem to get away with all the time.
A 7 year old story on the back pages. I wonder why they printed it on the same night utd lost at home to Burnley.
