Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Not sure about media darlings but teams get positive media coverage if they do well. Under Poch, they finished runners up to Leics, they got to the Champions league final, top 4 regularly, they got Kane who is a bit of a media darling like. They also moved into a brilliant ground which was well received and gained a lot of favourable press. Teams will get positive treatment if they perform. They’re not performing now, so you won’t see them getting much positivity in the media about them. It’s all relative. Perform = Favourable press. Don’t perform = negative press. Not hard.

They actually finished third. Completely capitulated. Could say the same about the champ league run too.

Poch did an incredible job at Spurs.

They were a tad unlucky not to win the league (think they had most points in a calendar year twice under him, unfortunate for him the season runs from August to May), and he took them to their first CL Final.

Their CL quarterfinal against City was one of the best games I’ve ever seen...the finish was hilarious (harsh too). Then there was the Ajax game where they threw everything but the kitchen sink at them, and got rewarded at the death.

Football isn’t just about winning. Entertaining plays as big a role for me. Holland ‘74, Brazil ‘82...those teams are loved. The ‘94 Brazil team that won the WC ain’t loved by anyone in Brazil. Poch has given Spurs great games and great memories. The 6 goal demolition at Goodison last season was the best football I’ve seen up close in a long time...Son in particular was fabulous. Poch made that team.

He’s a class act too.

If you’re trying to argue that City are ignored or are victims of prejudice in the media then you are spectacularly wrong I’m afraid.

Really? How many examples would you like? How about how Liverpool's record breaking run is being received in the media compared to how ours was.
Two years ago the media were all saying how worried they were about the league becoming a cake walk for us every year. They were bleating every week about it. At the same time they were telling us that City will never be considering a great team until they've defended it.
No such caveats placed on Liverpool. It's a full on media love in how wonderful they are and how it great it all is now they're back on top.
Just this week Sky had a poll for best ever Prem team. Guess which team was left out?

How entitled do you want to be? When Guardiola was crushing the league all you heard about was City this and City that. Try supporting Southampton or Watford who are currently pulling up trees after looking dead in the water with absolutely no recognition or anything.

You said I was wrong so I gave you an example. You've completely ignored that and started bleating about entitlement. Proper Trump tactics right there. Forget the facts, just ignore them and go on the attack again.
I've been supporting City since I was 4 years old in 1970. I do find it amusing that you think I need is a lesson in what it's like to support a struggling club.

City, quite rightly, got all the love the last 2 seasons. To question that and comparing it to how other Clubs are being received in the media smacks of paranoia. How can you compare the press 2 teams get, years apart anyway? Count the words? Record the amount of time the tv talks about them? City, the last 2 years have had so many plaudits It’s untrue. You saying the media we’re worried about the League becoming a cakewalk every year, I’d take that as a compliment and not, as you seem to think, a genuine worry. Perhaps you could link to the reports that mention this as a genuine worry?
Do you want the media to adore you this season? For a team so good, You are currently putting in the worst defence of a title for some years so the media will be a little critical of you. You do seem to be paranoid over the media.
Some of your recent posts would tend to show your paranoia though...

Not when you consider the BBC have been acting as uniteds unofficial PR dept since the GPC was in charge. When Panorama exposed all his dodgy dealings, he started sulking and refused to talk to them ever again. The BBC collectively soiled themselves and have been sucking up to the rags ever since. Very rare you will ever see any utd story on the BBC with a negative slant. When we stuffed them 6-1 at Old Trafford they reported "Utd in 7 goal thriller"

He also got lucky because Spurs are inexplicably one of the media darlings. The amount of good media coverage they get is hugely disproportionate to their actual achievements. Poch's Spurs were also one of the dirtiest teams in the Prem. I'm not talking the odd professional foul to stop a team breaking, I mean the real sly and nasty leg breakers they seem to get away with all the time.

A 7 year old story on the back pages. I wonder why they printed it on the same night utd lost at home to Burnley.

What?! lol lol
You’re on an Everton forum trying to play woe is me over how City who are still on the back pages and being analysed every day of the week and who have been absolutely lauded over the past few years aren’t getting talked about as much as usual just because Liverpool are better than them. Give your head a wobble lad.

It's completely unfair because they're looking into how they've managed to pour billions of pounds of blood money into their club and lie about it. Disgusting behaviour by the media.

The frauds bubble has burst, expect him to take a sabbatical soon before taking over at juve a few months later where he can walk the league a few times while the football hipsters claim he’s reinventing football

To say he's been found out is ridiculous.

Just think City have had a mixture of bad luck with their best defender and one of the best in Europe out nearly half a season, and their replacements either being poor quality or error prone. Think now they know the title has gone, focus has slipped.

He went into this season with ONE good defender and put his eggs in the Fernandinho basket which has had mixed results. For a manager with practically infinite resources that’s very poor. Has his recruitment over his entire career actually been that good?
