Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Players seem to have switched off, you do wonder if they already know that they're getting a massive points reduction and possible expulsion from the Champions League.

Something is up. I know Rodri is a massive loss but they have gone from looking like certain champions again to a team that may struggle to even get top 4. Pep signing a new one year extension is strange though given I'm sure he said he would be gone if they are found guilty when all this first broke.

Is it just a case of losing key players to injury that’s rocking them or is the 130 charges case having a psychological effect in the negative the same way our initial points deduction last season galvanised us briefly
Do you reckon they know something about the charges? If all of their “achievements” are discredited it might have some kind of psychological effect.

I have wondered this tbh. Is there a situation where several of their players are basically fuming with the club over all this? It's certainly possible. Many of them could have their entire collection of winners medals forever tainted, if not revoked.

Don't think the charges have anything to do with it, this squad has just ran it's race and the recruitment behind it has been average

You may well be right. It's impossible to do anything other than speculate. Surely you'd be annoyed as a player though if all your medals were gonna be tainted?

It's interesting to note that they actually made a profit on transfers in the summer, and I do think he's taken his eye off the ball a bit in just thinking any old full back could offer cover in that defensive mid role. He probably didn't need Savinho either, certainly not as their only signing anyway. I've no idea on their PSR position, but I'm guessing they didn't make a profit because they wanted to. Be weird if they did, seeing as though they're constantly kicking off about not being able to spend even greater amounts than they already do.

I'm not sure that sort of thing enters the minds of players and pro sportsfolk to be honest, most are pretty driven and just think about the next contest from what I've gathered. A bit different perhaps if you are playing after a deduction and being asked as many questions as Everton players and Dyche had to field.

Too many older players hitting the skids and legs going all over the pitch, and the back up/replacements just haven’t been good enough.

Pep should be volleyed for letting palmer leave, then keeping silva, de bruyne and getting Gundogan back - he’s got too sentimental over them and it’s biting his arse.

Only bright side is shippmann buggered off before it happened.
