You cannot have the creative hub of your team as peripheral as GS.

Literally passes the ball 20 times a game. A player in his position should be on the ball 40+ times minimum - even if he does nothing with it, it means the ball sticks up the pitch away from our goal.

Sooner we get a proper midfield in place (not just GS the whole midfield needs replacing) the better.

Barkley played 54 passes in his 40 minutes yesterday and half the posters on here think he is was a waste of space.

I thought Barkley wasn’t good enough towards the end but then I saw Siggurdson.

It's amazing how much rage clouds the quality of a player.

He undoubtedly negatively affects the way we want to play just due to how slow he is. To play a quick, fluid style in the final third you need a player with nifty feet that can turn and break between the lines in a second and cause panic. No one fears him getting the ball, because it takes him an eternity to do anything, he’s so easy to defend against and take out the game.

I think some have hit the nail on the head in that he just isn't quite quick enough to perform at the top level. It's a shame because he does have decent technique and good vision but his inability to move the ball or himself quickly ruins it.
