His game is getting hugely affected by silvas inability to use him right or coach him correctly

Ffs, Koeman based his team around him, Silva has done the same.

I can`t comment on Allardyce, as he was just there to get back behind the ball, same as every one else

Silva has played him in his favoured No 10 position since he became manager.

It`s not the managers fault that he`s woefully ineffective most of the time.

However it is the managers fault for continuing to persist with the dud.

The chances stat is an assist stat that was fluffed but someone possibly should of scored, or at least was handed a chance to do so?

What the stat shows is he is creating stuff, you can add to that he was our joint leading goal scorer last season, he is doing what we pay him to do, others not so much.

Point is we have big problems, but he isnt one of them

Thing is, people use his goals as a some big plus because he's technically a midfielder scoring 13 goals (including pens) but he gets excused from being more involved in Midfield activities because he plays further forward. He can't have it both ways.

If he was scoring 13 goals as well as being involved in passages of play, you might have a point, but he is essentially played as a 2nd striker for us and he plays most minutes of most games.

We didn't sell him, Barca activated his buy back clause
Splitting hairs, Koeman made it clear he didn't want him here, so Barca activated the clause to move him on for a profit. If that clown Koeman knew what he was doing he'd still be here now.

The stat doesn't show that he's creating stuff though. Like I've said numerous times, if he's creating such good chances and everyone is fluffing them, you should be able to remember most of those 20 "chances" he's created. I challenge you to name 10 of them. There's only been 7 games, it shouldn't be too hard for you.

Stats and numbers are killing people's ability to watch a game of football.

Ok.

Palace 34minutes, ball to Rico leftside penalty area
Palace 85th minutes, ball to Bernie, 6 yard box
Watford 56th minute, left field cross to Gomes

And thats where I stopped making stuff up.

Cos I honestly dont see the benefit in giving you all the chances, you wont believe it anyway.

Yes I will fam, I want to be educated. For what it’s worth (which isn’t much), I can think of about 5.

You would think so, but we’re getting bombarded with charts and spreadsheets making out that he’s been up there with the most creative players in the league.

I watched the City game on my phone at a wedding whilst getting evils from the missus, so cant say I watched it all, but I honestly didnt even know he was playing.

Ricky could. Would link you a 5 minute showreel about the chances he's made.

Doesn't show what he's done for the whole of 90mins, but that one through ball will justify his argument.

Thats just it, no offence to @mikeh72 but its a bit stupid asking for somebody to name the 9 chances hes created outside of set pieces, cos the stat website hasnt made them up, they exist. The real question is what they consider a chance, a rolled ball to somebody on the edge of the area with 5 defenders and a keeper infront, a through ball with the attacker still with 2 defenders and a keeper to beat.

The premier league website lists 3 Big Chances created.

That seems more likely to me.

I posted that previously.

David Luiz set up the same amount of "big chances" than Iceman last season.

That’s what I’m saying, what is considered a “chance” is a massive grey area. A corner flung somewhere in the general direction of Keane’s massive pie head doesn’t qualify as a chance created for me, but other people will say it is. That stat that said he’d created 20 chances is probably including every corner he’s taken that’s beat the first man.

Actual proper chances will stick out in our minds, because let’s be honest we haven’t got an awful lot to remember in that department this season.
