He did alright in Germany so maybe a German team.
That said especially with how the world is right now we won't see anywhere near what we paid for him. I would have took 15-20M a few months back, now we will struggle to get that.
I am more than happy to agree that playing deeper has adversely affected his game if it increase the chances of somebody buying him.
It's not the German model to buy players coming towards the the end of their career on big wages, they'd rather give youth a chance. Maybe American....who knows,just want him gone if am honest.

Bit strong. At the end of the day it isn't his fault that we haven't got a team that can allow him to do whatever he wants in the no.10 role, granted even if we did his output isn't worth the value we paid for him. Again not his fault, he's just a player we can't fit in as it creates an imbalance elsewhere. It's no surprise since we signed him we have been pap as we look to squeeze him in somewhere regardless.
2 more years and we will have fully shaken off the 2017 spending spree of doom.
