Tbf to him when he got 13 goals last season I think only 2 were pens. I know he missed 2.Says a lot that gylfis lack of goals coincides with our lack of penalties.....
Was decent yesterday but no more than that.
I'm just not sure why he isn't more expansive. He's got great range of passing but everything seems to be short and tidy.
He's not a long term solution in there, far from it. I think Carlo will have to stick someone else in there with them Vs Spurs.

....for a player who strikes a ball so well I actually think he’s a poor penalty taker. No idea why he needs to show the goalie ‘the eyes’, much prefer he pick a corner and concentrate on hitting the ball accurately with pace.
Despite the system not suiting, he’s doing a job, in the last few games. The game turned for us when he came on at Norwich and he put in a shift last night.
I thought he gave us good control in the derby too when he came on.
Unfortunately with the price tag and the expectation that he would be a player who single handedly revived us it was always going to be hard for him. I doubt just being a cog in a machine will be enough for most fans, which is fair enough.
However, Ancelotti can clearly trust him, he's solid, passes the ball ok and fills in in a number of positions. It's probably not what he wanted, he wanted the team built around him but he's not good enough to justify it. He does appear to be ok with being a cog in the machine though and playing a little deeper.
The manager will not be bothered how much was spent on him before. If he does a job for him, he will want to keep picking him.
...he was poor leading up to lockdown. He looked bereft of caring which is so unlike him.
