Dropped deeper. Filled spaces where the wide players drifted inside. Got on the ball more. Great delivery. A lot more clever.

He does that more every week, I'll stay off his case.

There is still a problem with our midfield 2 being overran though

We played the ball into him.

He wasn't really dropping any deeper.

As a team we were pressing higher. A lot of that has to do with Delph being there. We had energy and legs in midfield.

He was dropping wide, not deep. It was a clear tactic and it worked well.

Gyfli is in the side because he offers genuine threat. Got an assist today and could have had another two or three.

He also follows the manager's instructions to a tee, as proved by him cosntantly dropping wide right which was clearly a gameplan in the first half. And he presses.

He hasn't been great this season, but his own poor displays aren't the only reason he hasn't got involved.

Deeper than he usually does as its stepping out of a crowded defence which is what he tends to not do.

Can easily see how more involved in the game he was today compared with the last two fixtures. All that is down to finding space and getting the ball which all good number 10s should do.

Influenced the game throughout today for the first time this season

Managers must love him. He's played for us under Koeman, Allardyce and Silva, and, if he ever complains about the role he's asked to play, he must do it quietly, one on one with the manager and then goes out on the pitch and follows their instructions.

All pros should really be like that, but, especially for a player as talented as he is, his lack of ego is fantastic to see.
