Anyone remember when that lunatic racist ran on the pitch from the park end when Amo was stood in the centre of Goodison with PJ?a little steward certainly earned his corn that evening, bad days.

Maybe not the highest of heights, or the greatest of greats, but people always forget (especially when slagging them off) just how exceptional any pro-footballer is who makes it at that level. He's one of the players I'll always have a special place in my heart for (Rideout and co) cause I was about 11 when we won the FA cup. An impossible feat really giving that united team, and gah we just clung on for dear life in that final! I can still visualize the goal in my mind because when I was younger I watched replays of that match so many times!

Happy Birthday, Amo.
Spot on mate. The Joe Royle period was one of my favourite times supporting the club. Shame it didn't last longer.

This is an image I was sent earlier today.
It’s from the 1/4 Final that year against Newcastle.
Pure joy on the faces.

My first and only visit to Maine Road (other than to watch Oasis) was the 2-0 win when Amokachi and Joey Parkinson scored, always sticks in my mind for some reason.

With the signing of Kanchelskis I honestly thought we were back in the big time.

It didn’t happen but I always look back on those times with a lot of nostalgia, I loved Amo and most of that team actually.
