I was in Toronto a couple of years ago, couldn’t disagree with you more, found the people very friendly and polite.

Travelled the states a lot and found the people to be very friendly and polite also. Canadians that I’ve met have always seemed to define themselves as ‘not american’
Disclaimer: I am aware that I am making broad generalisations and that people are generally decent where ever you go. Except Newcastle and Chelsea fans of course
