Great pass for the goal but still looks like he needs plenty of minutes under his belt. He is young and not quite ready for me but given game time hopefully he will grow in stature. Promising I say

I feel he needs to believe in himself a bit more. That will come in time. Plays within himself a bit but he absolutely deserves to be in the mix for a starting place.

Can't wait to boo him when he moves to City.

Looks very assured on the ball and not afraid to turn around with it,with his head up. Could teach a few of our midfielders a trick or two.

Honestly wasn't impressed by him at all. Looked insanely average. Then that through ball from the gods that only an omniscient being could have spotted. Hopefully it gives him a boost.

To be fair, 'insanely average' would be a huge improvement for us. He did well this evening and Baines/Coleman did well too to substitute him when they did, he is still a boy playing a man's game.

Happens with all youth players but the more he plays and realises he can hang at that level the less he'd play within himself you'd hope. Probably got the best passing range of our midfielders but that's a pretty low bar

You’re surely right about that. Davies stood out because of how long he was around. Ants rise was short lived. Forgot about him.

For a 17 year old kid he looked very promising, strong frame and vision. Needs a loan but guven our options hopefully will get some more minutes.
