Transfer deadline day loan written all over this one. He will want first team football in competitive league for England place. Can't see a club coughing transfer fee and wage, so he will be forced to take wage cut if still wants to play for England.

Doubt it was as clear cut as that tbf. More likely WHU offered less on the premise Utd would honour part of his contract to off set the difference.
Result being the same, but a slightly more nuanced take.
Besides highly doubt any team will match his salary from Utd and pay a fee. Suspect Utd will relax their position before the window closes as it’s a lot money to have sitting on the bench every week.

Could be right. We have affloaded a lot of wages so could offer 50% and maybe a small loan fee or no loan fee.

United are forced to play out from the back even when it’s not advisable, everyone trying to copy Pep. Players are dispossessed everywhere on the pitch, just if it’s a defender (like Maguire) it’s more likely to lead to conceding. Even more so for a ‘keeper - how many times was De Gea caught out.
