Today I finally got around to picking up the HD DVD player for the Xbox 360, and WOW!!!!! The picture is just plain amazing!!!

Watching either King Kong (which came free with it) or Transformers on HD DVD is just mind blowing. Coupled with my speakers, it is better than going to the theater to watch a movie.

The up-conversion feature is pretty damn nifty as well. Now my DVD collection takes on a new life as it upconverts to 1080p!!!!

Next purchase.....The Matrix. :D

Seriously, anybody who has HDTV and an Xbox 360 could do FAR worse than pick one of these up.

I'm waiting on the HD DVD.

That and I own quite a few DVD's already.

I'm sure they'll have more titles on the new HD format over time. That said, I love watching sporting events in HD. Don't know if I want to watch movies in HD though.
 
Yes you do Tx, yes you do. The beauty of the HD DVD players is they will take the regular DVD picture and upconvert it to a near-HD quality.

If you own the XBOX, the HD DVD add on is THE CHEAPEST way to get to HD DVD player ownership.

It will be the standard soon enough.
