I've been suffering from chest pains and shortness of breath for several months. Stress related my doc says. 70 next birthday. Followed EFC since 1962. At the final whistle of the season last Sunday I cried with relief. Since that moment the chest symptoms have disappeared. No moral to the story just Everton is my life

….ah, good lad, Jules. Have to say, I’m not too far behind you at 66. I’m very lucky to have little or no stress in my life but I was worried about the impact of Everton on my ticker. Certainly had the odd palpitation.

I had to double the strength of my blood pressure tablets recently, when i was at the doctors for a check up about a month back some young local doctor, who I had never seen before pointed to my Everton tattoo and said that could be the cause, straight faced and with no humor, he could be right
