I actually had to call an ambulance for the only time in my life following the Fulham game, severe chest pains and was struggling to breathe, also got a parking ticket that day at the game lol fortunateley got the all clear,oh also been on blood pressure pills since I was 21,no coincidence though I guess eh?lollollol

….bloody hell, Matey, just had a thrombo reading that.

I've been suffering from chest pains and shortness of breath for several months. Stress related my doc says. 70 next birthday. Followed EFC since 1962. At the final whistle of the season last Sunday I cried with relief. Since that moment the chest symptoms have disappeared. No moral to the story just Everton is my life
I think you speak for many of us mate. My first season going to the match was th 62-63 championship season and I've been Everton mad ever since, Im just a year older than you and, although pretty fit for my age, I still have had moments watching us over the past 2 seasons when I have wondered if it is good for my health. Can't do anything about it though, I'm a blue, from a family of blues and no matter what they do to me, I keep coming back for more.

A couple of weeks ago a mate of mine had chest pains, went to hospital and after tests were done it was diagnosed as angina. Doctor asked him had he been suffering from stress recently. My mate replied with only the usual stuff, work etc but added he is an Evertonian. Doctor said and was deadly serious in his response that " I've treated a lot of Blues recently and it can't be coincidental " !!

Reading this made my day. Well in mate!

Crikey! Everton can do that to people and what I would say to anyone in the same boat to either learn to switch that part off or if they can't try and visit a hypnotist to see if they can make you less stressed about it all.

I love Everton and I know how it is as I spent 20 minutes of the FA Cup final with my head in my lap trying to block out anything as it literally felt like my head was going to explode. But no more I'm not going to let it kill me. I wept like Jack Bauer at the end of 24 after the Bournemouth game but if we had gone down it would have been our own fault and we would have to just accept the medicine and move on.

If it’s any consolation mate, @matty1878 has been like this since the first game of the season.

He’s still looking for his head though.

Glad you’re okay now
;)
