Heitinga........

feel awful for him, if he had been van bommel or de jong he would not have even been booked for either of the challenges he committed, both of those players should have been in the shower long before him, and while he did ****up he recovered magnificently - that block on villa was astonishing, and as he is ours i will say he meant that clearance under his own bar.

anyway, he was much better than either pique or puyol

Thought he had a poor one to be honest. Seemed to be constantly, constantly on the wrong side of Spain's forwards.

He contended with the best midfield in the world and held his own, kept one of the best strikers in the world in David Villa pretty quiet, and decked Torres as soon as he decided to come near him.

I'd say, other than the 2nd yellow, he turned out quite well imo.

He stopped two certain goals, Xavi kicking his foot (you've got to be there to stop it) and the recovery he make when he fell over inside the box. That's not even mentioning the difficult ball he had to deal with in the first half which he managed to put over the bar, that's good defending for me, lots of players would have ****ed that up.

He wasn't brilliant but he wasn't woeful either, that's going overboard.

He wasn't the Heitinga that was boss for Everton in the 2nd half of last season, however i'm not arsed, if he was ace, loadsa clubs would of been in for him, instead he wasn't the best so won't create too much interest from outside of Everton

Can I just say that when all you's call eachother 'beaut's' in a negative way, it just sounds and looks mega gay. If someone could enlighten me about this word that'd be great.

And as for Johnny it was a red card, as it was a yellow card offense and therefore his second bu he did what he had to do. He took one for the team. Iniesta was through on goal so he had to be stopped.

And if Webb had given the free kick for Elia then Spain wouldn't have gone up the other end and scored. I've had a big argument with my mates about it, all against me saying that fouls happen all the time in the build up to goals and it was a good length of time from where the supposed foul took place and when the goal was scored. I'm sorry, but it was in the same phase of play. Blatent foul, should have been given. Made the difference in the final score.
